Okay, I don't know that I have ever been so excited. Today, my sister came into the house carrying a package. The package contained the first proof of my book. We were so overjoyed that we were talking over each other in high voices and doing quick steps as I fumbled to rip the thing open. Oh man, I can't even tell you what a thrill it is to see your work as a 'finished' product! I wish I could contain this sense of accomplishment and pride, and carry it with me for the hard days... because honestly, I'm so excited that i'm not even sure any of this makes sense...
Anyway, in honour of my excitment, I'm giving everyone a sneek peek to the title page of one poem: "If I Had a Boyfriend."
